Community Events

On Friday, 20th November 2017 the Glenview Community Centre hosted its 10 Year Finale Talent Show for young people aged 5-18 years old living or going to school in the Hamilton South area.

This event encourages young people to participate, build confidence and gives them an opportunity to showcase their talents at a local level supported by family/whanau.  This event also encourages young people within the community to get involved and participate in a positive event that encourages positive input into our community.  Our community is riddled with talent!

We started our Road Show to search for SoutH-Twn Talent Finalists by visiting our local schools for Lunch-time auditions from Wednesday, 28th October - Monday,9th November.  The centre also hosted an Open Audition on Tuesday, 10th November.  We auditoned over 50 performances and the caibre just gets better every time.

After auditions the centre hosted a Free Family event showcasing its Top 15 finalists from the 2015 auditions on Friday, 20th November from 6pm and we enjoyed a night of amazing talent!  As this was a FREE event we asked Families to bring a can of food to donate to the St Vincent's food bank which was greatly appreciated.

We would like to thank all of our contestants for sharing their amazing talent and of course to the Top 4 finalists who took home the prize money,
